Key to Healthy Living ala Rasulullah

"The first question asked of a servant on the Day of Judgement one day about the pleasures of the world is, 'Did I not give you a healthy body'?" (Tirmidhi).

Healthy is a choice, because basically there is no human being wants pain. Wherever possible, the disease should be avoided. Naturally, the government announced early immunization program for toddlers. The goal is to prevent the possibility of a toddler exposed to a disease. And, some of us try to maintain a healthy body and prevent disease with a variety of ways: exercise, maintain a diet and rest, special diet, managing stress, taking supplements, or improving lifestyle.

People who consciously keep the pattern and lifestyle, activities and food, so can still look fit and primed, are those who understand the importance of health. In fact, not infrequently they are willing to spend significant amounts of money in order to maintain health. Because they believe, when sick, the cost to be incurred will be more expensive compared to maintain health.

Prophet Muhammad SAW said, "Your body has rights over you." That means, your body should also get attention. Pity, if the minutes he used, exploited, but did not get the attention they deserve.

Like a machine, the body also requires regular maintenance and continuous so as not quickly broken. Included in the care of the body is not giving her food intake is bad and dangerous, such as drugs and alcohol.

We just feel how happy healthy life when you're sick, or there are some members of our body is sick. Various plans suddenly come to mind when healthy again later. We will regularly exercising, eating less fatty foods, stop smoking, reduce stayed up late, and so forth. But, when we are healthy, all plans were soon abandoned.

Indeed the Prophet Muhammad is the perfect example in various ways, including in health care. It was evident from the scarcity of his illness, during his 63 years of age. He penah sick because wronged by the infidels, he was stoned to temples bleed, or exposed to enemy weapons and poisoned when fighting a Jewish woman. Even if sick, then he will immediately seek treatment with dibekam (Hijamah). The rest, the Prophet Muhammad lived in good health as always apply the pattern and a healthy lifestyle, either through a balanced physical activity, maintain a diet and rest, and social terinteraksi useful. As Muslims, we should imitate the Prophet was in all respects, including health care.
